It’s the holiday season. Christmas is just around the corner. A time of peace, joy, and good will towards men. It is a time to put aside petty squabbles and instead spread love and friendship. Well, it looks like Hugh Jackman didn’t get the memo. Jackman is trolling Ryan Reynolds again, and this time, it’s with the help of Reynolds’ Life co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal. And Reynolds has documented it on Instagram.
It is a well known and quite hilarious ‘feud’ between the former Wolverine actor and the current Deadpool star. And, they have made sure to include their friends along in the ribbing. This time, it appears that Gyllenhaal, who is playing Mysterio in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home, has joined in on the trolling. Apparently, Reynolds was invited to an Ugly Sweater Christmas party, but instead it was just a regular get together. So, Reynolds is made the fool as he wore a Christmas Gift sweater, complete with a sewn on gift tag, which was addressed to Hugh and Jake.
This ‘feud’ between the two stars started when Reynolds stalked Jackman, trying to get him to don the claws one more time and have Logan appear with him in Deadpool movie. This spun into some hilarious vignettes and social media exchanges that have fans rolling on the floor, laughing. They have also used these interactions to help promote each others’ projects, including some ‘political attack ads’ to help each other promote their latest films. And, it would seem that there’s no time off for the holidays in this friendly game of troll chess. With Once Upon a Deadpool in theaters now, and Jackman’s concert tour starting next year, this ‘feud’ will certainly continue on for the foreseeable future.
