Many fans have been wondering when they’ll finally get to see Season 2 of Marvel’s The Punisher, and now, thanks to a new teaser posted by Netflix – we know that it will be coming January. That’s right, next month. As far as a specific release date, we don’t have that answer, as the video teaser from Netflix didn’t reveal it.
Check it out below – but it’s not until the end of the video:
The only thing we really know about Season 2 is that it will feature Jigsaw, aka Billy Russo, as leaked set photos revealed his return.
While I’ve been looking forward to the show for quite a while now, it’s hard to excited for something that you know is going to be cancelled. Iron Fist and Luke Cage‘s cancellations weren’t super surprising, but Daredevil was in Netflix’s top 5 most popular shows, and was still cancelled due to creative differences with Marvel. Of course, that’s the reason that was given, but we all know it’s because Disney has a streaming service about to come out, and Netflix now views Disney as competition.
It’s kind of sad for fans of the R-Rated Marvel Universe, as it’s probably something that won’t come around again for quite a while. Then again, there could be something planned for these characters in the grand scheme of things, but I doubt it will be any time soon, as it’s already been revealed that Disney doesn’t want them on its streaming service. Here’s hoping.
Marvel’s The Punisher Season 2 will debut on Netflix at some point in January 2019. Enjoy it while you can.
