Avengers: Infinity War hit theaters over 6 months ago, and is already on home release, but the wounds created by the ending of that film still run deep amongst fans worldwide. So many of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s best heroes, many of whom no one expected to go, met their end thanks to Thanos’ snap. While Thanos wiped out half of all life in the universe, some people that were not seen in the film did survive.
While we were already privy to the fact that fan favorite Darryl, Valkyrie, Aunt May, Shuri, and even Howard the Duck survived the snap, we’ve now learned of two new survivalists: Dr. Erik Selvig and Darcy Lewis!
TODAY’S THE DAY! The search for the truth begins in @Marvel’s #AvengersInfinityWar: Cosmic Quest Volume #2: AFTERMATH. Who are the Science Avengers?! Pick up a copy and find out. https://t.co/hpI06Z4jFG pic.twitter.com/eYStCiWuzZ

Thanks to the author Brandon T. Snider’s Twitter, we get a great look at the front and back covers of his upcoming novel, ‘Marvel’s Avengers Infinity War: Cosmic Quest Vol. 2: Aftermath’ (I know, its a mouthful). On the back cover, we see the book’s summary to entice you to buy the book and read it. In it, there just so happens to be a little spoiler as to the whereabouts of two characters we haven’t seen in quite some time.
Read the description below:
“A deadly threat emerged from the cosmos — and it was fulfilled. In the wake of Thanos’ horrifying success, the people of Earth are left reeling in despair and confusion. Without any logical explanation for the blip-out event, those remaining must pick up the pieces.
Doctor Erik Selvig and his associate Darcy Lewis are determined to find and understand the cause of the devastation. With a team of friends both old and new, they embark on a pursuit of knowledge, eager to discover the links between their own pasts and the stones that decimated half of humanity — the Infinity Stones. Little do they know that a new foe who threatens to destroy them all is looming….”
So, now we know that two of Jane Foster’s cohorts have survived! And, considering that the Russos refused to give Jane’s status after the snap, saying it’s “too spoilery”, and the fact that Dr. Selvig may have laid out the keys to defeating Thanos in Dark World, there is now even more speculation to just what we might see in the still untitled Avengers 4.
What do you think of this latest revelation? Are you happy these characters survived? Let us know in the comments below!
