The highly anticipated IT: Chapter 2, the sequel to the adaptation of Stephen King’s IT, is currently under production in Toronto, although it looks as though at least one major role has finished filming. Actress Jessica Chastain who plays the grown-up incarnation of Beverly Marsh took to her Instagram story to reveal that filming for her character has wrapped. The pictures include shots with director Andy Muschietti and various other crew members. You can view them on the Actresses Instagram story.

Jessica Chastain made no secret of the fact that she wanted the role of Beverly in the IT sequel, and in an interview in June the actress revealed what she loves about the horror genre as a whole. She said:
“I actually love the horror genre, because I found that in the past — I think things are changing now — but in the past the horror genre [in particular] really has great female characters,I’m very happy to work again in a genre that actually has empowered women. And in that genre, you usually see the person surviving at the end being the lady. Do you know what I mean? She conquers the monsters or the bad guys, and she walks away at the end.”
Acting alongside her are the rest of the adult losers, James McAvoy as Bill, Bill Hader as Richie, Jay Ryan as Ben and James Ransone as Eddie, Andy Bean as Stanely Uris and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike. Other cast members include Teach Grant as Henry Bowers, Jess Weixler as Bill’s wife, Xavier Dolan as Adrian Mellon, Will Beinbrink as Tom Rogan and Bill Skarsgård will return to his role as the infamous Pennywise. The young losers are also returning to their roles in the form of flashbacks.
Following the success of the first one, IT: Chapter Two certainly has a lot to live up to and the anticipation for this movie is majorly high. The story will see the losers reunite in Derry upon finding out about the return of the creature that plagued them 27 years previous. Director, Andy Muschietti, has promised a scarier film than it’s predecessor.
IT: Chapter 2 will be released on September 6, 2019.
