Jamie Lee Curtis has reprised her role as the iconic final girl in David Gordon Green’s upcoming Halloween movie revival, which will act as a direct sequel to the original film from 1978. Of course, this story is set some forty years after the first so Laurie Strode is well and truly grown with a child and grandchild, who is the lead character in the movie. Today, an exclusive new picture from the movie has been shared, and it features Laurie comforting her Daughter, Karen Strode.

Entertainment Weekly first shared the exclusive image of the troubled pair. Judy Greer plays Karen Strode while Andi Matichak has been cast as Laurie’s granddaughter and lead role, Allyson Strode. Acting as friends of Allyson are Virginia “Ginny” Gardner, Miles Robbins, Dylan Arnold and Drew Scheid.
In Halloween…
“A British documentary crew comes to the States to visit Michael in prison for a retrospective of the maniac’s night of terror — but their project becomes way more interesting when Myers escapes custody, retrieves his signature mask and seeks revenge on Laurie, with others naturally being part of his impressive career body count along the way.
In the decades following the fateful Halloween night that forever altered the former babysitter’s life, Laurie has armed and prepped herself for Michael’s inevitable return — to the detriment of her family, including daughter Karen and granddaughter Allyson.”
About Laurie’s role in the revival, Curtis said “The first movie I was running more, and in this movie I’m hunting more, [You] watch this woman take back the narrative of her life.”
I certainly cannot wait to see the showdown that awaits us in Laurie’s final confrontation with Michael Myers.
Halloween will be released on October 19.
