Sony Pictures have released the trailer for Slaughterhouse Rulez, a new comedy horror based in an elite boarding school. In the picture, duo Simon Pegg and Nick Frost return in their first live action movie together since 2013’s The World’s End. Fans of the other films with these actors are definitely going to be excited for this one. You can watch the trailer below:
Simon Pegg is playing one of the school’s teachers and Nick Frost plays a construction worker, although the younger cast have the leading roles. Starring alongside the pair are Asa Butterfield, Finn Cole, Hermione Corfield, and Michael Sheen. Slaughterhouse Rulez director Crispian Mills co-wrote the screenplay with Henry Fitzherbert.
Speaking with Digital Trends Pegg said that the movie features a “subterranean monster that terrorizes the school.”
In the movie…
“Welcome to Slaughterhouse, an elite boarding school where boys and girls are groomed for power and greatness…and they’re about to meet their match. This ancient and ordered world is about to be shaken to its foundations – literally – when a controversial frack site on prized school woodland causes seismic tremors, a mysterious sinkhole, and an unspeakable horror to be unleashed. Soon a new pecking order will be established as the pupils and teachers alike become locked in a bloody battle for survival…“
There hasn’t been a movie with the hilarious duo Pegg and Frost that I have disliked yet, so I am super excited to see the men that brought us the Cornetto Trilogy back on our screens together, even if this adventure isn’t being directed by Edgar Wright.
Slaughterhouse Rulez will be released in the UK on October 31.
