Avengers: Infinity War is almost here, after years of foreshadowing the epic crossover sequel starring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will finally see Thanos invade the Earth – but it’s looking more and more likely that Avengers 4 will be the film that really changes the direction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
With such an epic story and ensemble cast of characters, fans have already speculated that some of our beloved heroes won’t be surviving the whole ordeal. Now Cinema Facts has supported this theory, as the Russo Brothers have given a list of heroes, one of which who may not be making it all the way to the end of Avengers 4.
According to this list, one of the possible deaths has to belong to Captain America, Thanos, Vision or Iron Man. It makes sense that Thanos would be the one to die since he’s the main antagonist, but some have suggested he’s simply too powerful to die completely. So who knows who could meet their maker in the next installment? Whatever the answer is, we’ll just have to wait and see.
With the way the Marvel contracts are currently set up, it’s anyone’s guess as to who is leaving. Vision and Iron Man have previously been speculated more than once – but for both Infinity War and Avengers 4.
Set photos from Avengers 4 seemed to have confirmed potential returns of certain characters, but we’re not certain if those are flashbacks at this point.
It makes sense, as Kevin Feige has said that Avengers 4 will be the start of something new:
“There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting.”
