James Wan has made quite the impact on the horror genre over recent years. While he made his debut with Saw in 2004, he also supplied audiences with Dead Silence, Insidious, and the unbelievably successful The Conjuring.
But like most films, there’s plenty of flaws that tend to stand out. And for The Conjuring this is no exception. MovieFails managed to put together a list of flaws he found in the movie.

The Conjuring is based on real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The film was quickly followed by Annabelle and The Conjuring 2. After both continuations made a financial profit, New Line continued the trend by releasing Annabelle: Creation in 2017.
Another two spin-offs to The Conjuring titled The Nun and The Crooked Man have also been announced. Not much is known about first mentioned film, aside from this synopsis:
The story centers on a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania taking her own life, with a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together they uncover the order’s unholy secret and confront a malevolent force in the form of the same demonic nun from “The Conjuring 2.”
There is also progress being made on another direct sequel tentatively titled The Conjuring 3.
It’s certainly impressive how much of an impact The Conjuring franchise has had on the genre in just a few short years. A true shame we can’t get a slasher film to do the same, it’d be great to have a long-running slasher series to come out alongside the plethora of ghost and jump scare pieces. Maybe the success of this year’s IT movie will motivate studios to be a little more risky and creative with their horror films.
