A still of the new Pinhead has been released for Hellraiser: Judgment, the latest entry in the classic horror franchise.
While most of the previous nine installments were direct-to-video and nowhere near the power of the original Clive Barker-directed film, this new entry is being reported as a return to form.

We were given teases of the character, as well as set photos, but this is the first official look.
The movie was written and directed by Gary J. Tunnicliffe, who says the film was a passion project for him. He previously wrote Hellraiser: Revelations, the last film of the series which was rushed into production so that Dimension could keep the rights. Sadly, this is also the main reason Judgment was shot.
However, Tunnicliffe did show a lot of respect for the franchise’s rules in Revelations even if it was badly executed. He also worked on the effects for each film since Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, so he must have some idea of what he’s doing with this new installment. And if this picture of Pinhead is any sign of that, I’d say we’re at least in for the best Hellraiser sequel in over a decade.
Let’s just hope this film gives Clive Barker a chance to direct a proper reboot of the franchise in the near future. And for now, we’ll have to give Judgment and this new Pinhead actor a chance.
Detectives Sean and David Carter are on the case to find a gruesome serial killer terrorizing the city. Joining forces with Detective Christine Egerton, they dig deeper into a spiraling maze of horror that may not be of this world.
There’s no release date as of yet.
