James Wan In Talks To Produce ‘Mortal Kombat’ Reboot

    By Frank PalmerAugust 7, 2015

Filmmaker James Wan is reportedly in talks to produce a Mortal Kombat reboot for New Line, according to The Tracking Board.

While the Mortal Kombat video game franchise has been a huge success, the movies are a different story. They were pretty tame in comparison to the game and the 1997 sequel (Annihilation)  to the ’95 original film is regarded as one of the worst video game movies of all time.

There was also a web series that was recently made.

Wan’s involvement should help get the Mortal Kombat reboot going, as he’s been pretty successful as of late with Furious 7 and Insidious.
