The most anticipated Marvel Netflix show, outside of The Defenders (but maybe even more so) is Marvel’s The Punisher.
Fans have been clamoring for the character to get his own series, and when it was announced back in April, fans were ecstatic.
Well, the first trailer for the Jon Bernthal led show is here – and fans have reason to be even more excited:

We last saw a glimpse of The Punisher in this Stan Lee narrated trailer for The Defenders:

Though there’s not an official release date for the series, director Dearbhla Walsh revealed this interesting bit of info back in June:
“[I’ve directed] one other time that hasn’t been aired yet, which was an episode for the new Marvel series The Punisher, which I did just before Christmas, but it’s not airing until November.”
Showrunner and executive producer Steve Lightfoot had this to say about the show:
“For me, the complexity and unpredictability of Frank Castle make him an incredibly compelling character and I couldn’t be more excited to dive into his world,” said Executive Producer and Showrunner, Steve Lightfoot. “After watching Jon’s performance in ‘Marvel’s Daredevil’ I could not be more excited to be working with him to further develop and progress the story of this anti-hero in a show of his own.”
Here’s hoping it’ll live up to what we all want it to be.
