Deadpool is the master of fourth wall breaks. So much so that it’s hard to see where Wade Wilson ends and Ryan Reynolds begins. Or vice versa…
The marketing for Deadpool was some of the best to have come from a movie for a number of years. Being fairly self referential, mocking, and oddly helpful when it came to checking the health of one’s snooker balls.
Deadpool 2 is shooting at present and has had a similar build up on the marketing side of things. Domino has been revealed in the same pose, position and location Deadpool had when marketing the first film.
Although – the rug seems different.
We have recently had our first look at Josh Brolin as Cable:

Also, we had the superb teaser trailer at the outset of this year’s Logan.
Was the old man Uncle Ben? Well, maybe it was. Judging by Ryan Reynold’s Twitter post he along with the Vancouver Police Department have been filming Spider-man.
Could it be that there may be a place for the MCU’s Spider-Man amongst Fox’s Mutants?
Most likely not, but as Spider-Man: Homecoming is one of this year’s biggest Comic Book movies, it’s likely we’ll be seeing the references and fourth wall breaks centre on the wallcrawler.
We could even say the 4th Wallcrawler…
Jokes aside, here’s the tweet from Ryan Reynolds. Let us know what you think. Is this just Ryan Reynolds marketing chops using Spider-man to create hype? Heck, I’ve written an article on it, so it’s working.
Thank you #VPD. And the great people of Vancouver for putting up with road closures and traffic delays as we film Spider-Man downtown. pic.twitter.com/EweL1TtM2k

Deadpool producer Simon Kinberg actually spoke about a potential crossover last year:
“Tim [Miller] and I talked about it quite a bit. We grew up on comics that did it all the time, quite freely. Not just within the Marvel Universe, but outside the Marvel Universe. So it’d be rad to see it. Those decisions are made by people at a much higher part of the food chain than Tim and I — we just go execute it…we certainly each have a really good relationship with Kevin Feige. Maybe one day there’s a sit-down, ‘Godfather’-style dinner where we could broker a deal. It’d be cool.”
Deadpool 2 will hit cinemas on June 1st, 2018.
