One thing fans have been wondering for some time now is if The Avengers are aware that Agent Phil Coulson is still alive or not.
While attending Wizard World Columbus, we were able to get Elizabeth Henstridge’s comments – in which she revealed that she thinks some of The Avengers might know about Coulson:
“It gets quite complicated. I don’t think so, but I have a feeling that some of them might know. Fury obviously knows.”
As to whether or not Agents of SHIELD could appear in a future movie, Henstridge said:
“I don’t know. It’s such a boring answer, but time scale wise – they should those movies and then they’re out in 2-3 years and we shoot stuff that’s out in a couple of weeks. Would we keep [everything the same] for 3 years? You have to think about logistics. So, I don’t know but logistically, it’s tricky.”
She then mentioned what Marvel movie she’d like to appear in:
“I want to be in the Black Widow movie.”
As far as us ever getting a Black Widow movie, Scarlett Johansson had the following to say back in February when giving an update on the project:
“I’ve talked to Kevin Feige about it. We’re creatively really compatible. I think we both agree that the character is right for a standalone, it’s just a case of timing at this point for both Marvel and myself.”
In May, Kevin Feige gave a pretty positive update:
“Of the characters that you’ve just mentioned I would say certainly the one creatively and emotionally that we are most committing to doing is Black Widow…We think she’s an amazing character. We think Scarlett Johansson’s portrayal of her is amazing. She’s a lead Avenger and has amazing stories in her own right to tell that we think would be fun to turn into a stand-alone franchise.”
Here’s hoping it happens.
