It seems as if the Netflix/Marvel news doesn’t have an end in sight. Not complaining, just stating the obvious. As always, take these rumors with a grain of salt but this one seems like it makes perfect sense. Luke Cage will be making his solo series debut sometime next year and HeroicHollywood is reporting the following in regards to Cage’s potential villain:

Well, we’ve found out that a character from the early Power Man comics will make an appearance in the series. According to our sources, Cornell Cottonmouth will be one of the show’s villains.

For those unfamiliar, Cottonmouth was a drug lord in New York. The heroin that was used by Willis Stryker, aka Diamondback to frame Luke Cage for drug trafficking was stolen from Cottonmouth’s organization. Cottonmouth possessed super-strength, and was able to fight Luke Cage to a stand-off.

We’ll report more once there’s more information regarding the show but this is pretty interesting nonetheless.
