When it was announced that Zack Snyder was stepping down from Justice League amid a family tragedy, most thought that interim director Joss Whedon wouldn’t really have much of an impact on what was an already basically finished film.
Well, Whedon’s impact on the film is much more than initially thought, according to Warner Bros. YouTube channel, which credits the film as the following:
“A film by Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon starring Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher”
So, it’s a film by Zack Snyder AND Joss Whedon.
Once the film is released, it’ll be hard for fan boys to complain. A film with the visual style of Zack Snyder and the storytelling of Joss Whedon sounds like it will literally be the most epic movie of all time, and if the footage that was released yesterday is anything to go off of, it’ll be just that. Epic.
Fans can also breathe a sigh of relief as Ben Affleck has denounced the reports that he was leaving the role of Batman, emphatically stating his love for The DCEU:
“Warners has been working on it, making sure we’re getting it right. That’s the partnership you definitely want. With Wonder Woman, they really hit a home run. With [Justice League], I think we’ve found the tone, and found the flavor of it. I’d love to do it as long as they’ll have me. Eventually it’ll be somebody else, and I’m sure they’ll get somebody great. But while I’m doing it, I’m going to do the best job I can, and really appreciate how lucky I am.”
Another film that will undoubtedly be epic, is Avengers: Infinity War, which had its unreleased trailer leaked today.
Justice League hits theaters this November.
