The next X-Men movie will be X-Men: Dark Phoenix and up until now we have had the majority of actors reprising their roles.
Up to now we have First Class Alum James McAvoy, Michael fassbender, and Jennifer Lawrence. They’re reuniting with Apocalypse Class Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
Now it would appear Evan Peters will be reprising his Quicksilver role from X-Men Apocalypse and Days of Future Past.
Being one of the best aspects of both Apocalypse and Days of Future Past it would seem Fox are interested in keeping the same elements that worked in their previous films.
This is clearly the way Fox are thinking as Quicksilver doesn’t appear in the Phoenix Saga that Fox are developing for this film. But at least they are keeping a fan favourite.
The Hollywood Reporter, who broke this news have also revealed that Canadian actor Lamar Johnson will also be part of the cast. His role is being kept under wraps at the moment.
Simon Kinberg, producer and writer for many of the X-Men movies is taking on directing duties. This will see Jean Grey (Turner) become so powerful that she becomes threat to the X-Men and the entire world.
It will be good to see what a new director will bring to the franchise after Bryan Singer took the brilliant concept from X-Men First Class and steered it in the direction of his original X-Men film.
X-Men Dark Phoenix is scheduled to hit theaters in November 2018.
