Deadpool 2 has had a few setbacks on its long road to production, most notably when its director, Tim Miller left the production over creative differences – only to later be replaced with one half of the John Wick team, David Leitch.
It now looks as though we are starting to see the first signs of our destination on the horizon with lead actor, Ryan Reynolds revealing the first picture from the set, one which teases an iconic location.
The photo was posted to Reynolds’ official twitter and shows the titular hero in full gear lounging on the film’s set in Vancouver. The most interesting aspect of the picture is that in the background is Hatley Castle, which has previously stood in for Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters in X-Men 2 and X-Men 3: The Last Stand as well as the first Deadpool film.
Hopefully this time they can afford a couple more X-Men. You can check out the tweet below:
Dropped by the X-Mansion. Big fucking surprise. No one's home. pic.twitter.com/svbUMEdKbb

It has already been confirmed that Stefan Kapičić and Brianna Hildebrand will be returning as Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead respectively, so it would make sense that this would be why Wade would be paying a social visit to the school. Maybe he is finally making good on his promise to Colossus to consider joining the X-Men.
Not much has been learnt from the Canadian set, but it has been reported that Dopinder’s yellow cab has been spotted on the set, so at least we know how Mr Pool got there. We will hopefully find out more details as more set photos emerge, failing that, we will likely get our first look at next months Comic Con. Deadpool 2 is set to be released June 1st 2018.
What do you think? Do you think this is a social visit? Are you excited for this film? Let us know below!
