We’ve all been waiting to hear some new Marvel news. New news other than Avengers: Infinity War which is plastered just about everywhere, that is. Well, here’s something – Hannah John-Kamen has been cast for the upcoming Ant-man and the Wasp movie. The plot of the film has not been revealed, so it is hard to say yet which role she will be filling. Marvel has not released any further detail on this latest morsel.
Paul Rudd is coming back for the role of Scott Lang/Ant-man. Evangeline Lilly will reprise the character Hope van Dyne/the Wasp. Michael Douglas and Michael Pena will also be returning to play the same characters from Ant-man which released in 2015.
Aside from casting news, Peyton Reed will return as director for Ant-man and the Wasp. Paul Rudd and Gabriel Ferrari are co-writing the script and Kevin Feige is set to produce the film.
Ant-man grossed $180 million domestically which is included in a whopping $519 million worldwide profit. Ant-man was mostly recently seen in Captain America: Civil War.
So far, the sequel has a release date on July 6, 2018.
Black Mirror, Game of Thrones, and Killjoys all boast her as part of their cast. She’s been rather busy, and it’s not wonder she was picked up for Ant-Man and the Wasp. She has even caught the eye of Stephen Spielberg, who has chosen her to play the leading role in Ready Player One. Tomb Raider is another franchise with a cult following, and she is wrapping up production.
We’ll be seeing much, much more of her. We should hear soon which character she will be portraying.
