It’s been known for years now that Avengers: Infinity War would be starring heroes from across the franchise, including he Guardians of the Galaxy and the titular Avengers. One particular hero, however, had yet to be announced – until now.
Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman has finally confirmed his involvement with the film, and here’s how:

The new image was from the set of Infinity War, showing his chair named “T’Challa” beside chairs for “Natasha Romanoff” and “Steve Rogers.” In other words, he’ll be seated between stars Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans.
The set itself even resembles Black Panther’s land of Wakanda, so we may be getting to see the setting in Infinity War as well.
We previously saw Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War, and next we’ll be seeing him in his own standalone film set for February 16, 2018. The Black Panther film will then lead into Avengers: Infinity War, hitting theaters May 4, 2018.
The film is set to star Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as the villain Thanos.
As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.
