One of fans biggest grievances with the recently released, Logan, was the fact that we never got to see Hugh Jackman don his classic costume. Although thanks to some recently released concept art, we get a look at some alternate takes of the characters looks.
The concept art was released exclusively to ScreenRant via artist Christian Cordell who created the pieces for Fox. The pieces of art give us a look at Caliban, Laura (in both innocent youngster look and her vicious killer look), Charles Xavier and of course, Logan himself.
It’s interesting to note that the studio didn’t seem to deviate much from the artwork with all the characters costumes being pretty much what we saw in the final product.
You can check out the artwork below:
Unfortunately, it looks as though the classic costume was never on the cards, although it makes sense given the direction that James Mangold took with the film. The film doesn’t take a traditional approach to the superhero genre, instead telling a much more grounded and realistic approach to the character.
In the near future, a weary Logan (Hugh Jackman) cares for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) at a remote outpost on the Mexican border. His plan to hide from the outside world gets upended when he meets a young mutant (Dafne Keen) who is very much like him. Logan must now protect the girl and battle the dark forces that want to capture her.
You can check out Hugh Jackman’s final time playing the character in Logan, which is currently in theaters.
