With rumors suggesting there’ll be an appearance from Green Lantern in Justice League, fans have been speculating for months now as to who’ll be taking on the mantle following the dismal Ryan Reynolds effort back in 2011.
One name that has been voiced time and time again is Armie Hammer, who’s shown plenty of love for the character via social media however back in January, after a brief sparring session in his backyard, Hammer tore the pectoral muscle from his arm. After having surgery to repair the damage, it seems as if he’s still recovering from the nasty injury which has lead to many believing that he’ll be out of the running.
Well now Hammer has finally shed some light on his chances of nabbing the role at the SXSW festival in which he told fans:
“I don’t know. Technically (I am), because they haven’t hired anyone.”
He then brought up the issue of his injury in which he optimistically responded to fans concerns:
“I’m not going be hobbled for the rest of my life. Let’s say that.”
With fans suggesting he wouldn’t actually have to get physical in the role due to Green Lantern’s power ring, Hammer added how he’d be able to conjure up a balled fist to take on his enemies. When asked about his knowledge of Green Lantern, Hammer revealed his inner comic book nerd by stating:
“I’m a kid at heart, I mean, everyone’s read comic books.”
As to whether or not Green Lantern will show up in Justice League is anyone’s guess however I’m sure we’ll all find out on November 16th, 2017.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
