One of the most iconic features in the Power Rangers franchise has to be the titular teams Zords, so fans will be pleased to know that the prehistoric themed mechs will be making an appearance in next months reboot. We have seen the vehicles briefly in the marketing released thus far, but thanks to the release of a new poster, we now have a clear look at them. Read on to check it out.
The poster hit the web earlier today and gives us a good idea at what we can expect when we see them on the big screen. The Zords themselves are the same as they were in the original series, Tyrannosaurus Rex for the Red Ranger, Triceratops for the Blue Ranger, Sabretooth Tiger for the Yellow Ranger, a Mastodon for the Black Ranger and Pterodactyl for the Pink Ranger. Together, these Zords combine to create the Megazord which was primarily used in the show to take on a giant-sized foe.
We have already seen the combined Megazord in the latest trailer where it was preparing to take on Rita Repulsa’s giant golden henchman, Goldar.
You can check out the poster below.
As with many of the design choices for this reboot, this marks a departure from the original show, and those fans who were unhappy about the other changes seen so far aren’t likely to be won over by this latest look. The changes of course can be justified by the fact that these are supposed to look more like the alien tech they are derived from, although why the Mastodon and Triceratops Zords have a few extra legs is anybody’s guess.
Something else interesting made its way on to the internet – a POWER RANGERS script from Max Landis. The writer tweeted:

Power Rangers will be ‘morphing’ onto our screens March 24th.
