It’s been confirmed that fan-favorite film and television actor Miguel Ferrer has died from cancer at age 61.
The actor made several small appearances in the beginning of his career, but it was his role as Bob Morton in RoboCop that made him recognizable to audiences. His character was a wonderful antagonist, and although he wasn’t given much screen time, it made way for many future appearances.
This includes a voice acting career, where he starred in films such as Mulan, shows like Adventure Time and Robot Chicken, and video games with Halo 2.
He’s also known for playing FBI agent Albert Rosenfield in the TV series Twin Peaks, and will be reprising the role for the revival later this year which was filmed before his passing.
His other roles included spots in films and shows such as Iron Man 3, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Desperate Housewives.
Ferrer was survived by his wife, two children, and four siblings.
