Long before The Dark Knight and The Man of Steel went toe-to-toe in last years superhero epic, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, they settled their differences in the 2013 game Injustice: Gods Among Us. With a sequel on the horizon, NetherRealm have released a story trailer for the game teasing plenty more superhero showdowns and new characters. Carry on below to check it out.
The trailer recaps a lot of the plot of the first game which saw the heroes of an alternate universe team up to bring down a Superman who had taken over the world after the death of Lois Lane as part of The Joker’s schemes.
Whilst the trailer is light on actual story content, it seemingly shows that it will once again take place in the same alternate universe as the original as well as revealing that classic D.C. foe, Brainiac, will be making an appearance in the game. The trailer also seemingly hints at a four way battle between the characters, could this be a new game mode?
You can check out the trailer below:
The trailer confirms that we’ll be seeing Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn and Bane returning as playable characters while also revealing that new characters will appear in the form of Supergirl, Robin, Poison Ivy and the aforementioned Braniac. The end of the trailer also confirms that Darkseid will in fact come as a bonus character for those that preorder the game.
