It was recently revealed that actor Woody Harrelson was cast in Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s Han Solo Star Wars spin-off. And now Harrelson has given some details about his upcoming role.
He explained it all during a Facebook Live Q&A with Mashable:

“I’m a mentor to Han but I’m also a bit of a criminal. I don’t think I should say much more than that because the Force is not allowing me.”
It was previously suggested that he’d be playing a mentor of sorts, but now we understand he’ll also be a criminal. This means he could be inspired by Garris Shrike, a character from the now noncanon Star Wars EU that had been a mentor to Solo.
The film also stars Alden Ehrenreich as main character Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, and Emilia Clarke in an unnamed role.
We should be learning more as we approach the release date sometime in 2018.
