A new action packed trailer has arrived for Ghost In The Shell and once again it’s another visually stunning spectacle. With some impressive set pieces on display and plenty of neon lights on show, Ghost In The Shell could very well go on to surprise a lot of people when it’s released next year.
After having received much controversy over its ‘whitewashing’ of characters, the recent release of trailers have appeased most fans however the debate is still very much alive over Hollywood’s predominant use of white actors. With a severe lack of Asian actors in Hollywood, the main issue lies with the industry as a whole rather than those specifically associated with the movie itself, as many studios rely on established actors who have a proven track record of drawing in money.
One does have to hope that Hollywood will branch out and establish actors of all color sooner rather than later. As for now, it seems there’s been tiny steps in the right direction with the multicultural cast of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story being one example. Ghost In The Shell is scheduled for release on March 29th, 2017 and stars Scarlett Johansson, Takeshi Kitano and Pilou Asbæk.
