Below is the trailer for Netflix’s all-new series based on Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and starring Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf.
With all the beautifully shot footage, it looks like Netflix went all out for the adaptation, and Daniel Handler’s book series definitely deserves it after its last less faithful adaptation from 2004. The Official Synopsis reads:
A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death.

With eight episodes produced by Barry Sonnenfield and Daniel Handler, the series will premiere January 13, 2017, exclusively on Netflix.
