ScrewAttack’s hit series Death Battle has resolved different versus situations countless times before. Whether it be classic fanboy arguments such as Mario vs. Sonic, ones not previously thought of before like Yang Xiao Long vs. Tifa Lockhart, or more controversial ones like Goku vs. Superman. In their recent episode, Wiz and Boomstick decided to put a Marvel hero against a DC Villain. That’s where Hulk vs. Doomsday comes into play.
After the typical introduction that analyzes both fighters’ abilities, strengths, weaknesses, achievements, etc. the battle begins. And after a huge fight of buildings getting destroyed, limbs of both fighters getting annihilated and even at one point a police car being used as boxing gloves (it’s as awesome as it sounds), Doomsday takes the victory by impaling the poor green giant multiple times and capping it all off with ripping his head off. Hulk may have a healing factor, but I don’t think he’ll recover from that one. Evil wins today, kids.
In the post-battle analysis, the hosts point out that while Hulk had the advantage in raw power, Doomsday was better in terms of speed. However, Doomsday was able to wear down Hulk’s healing factor and ultimately win. But none of that compares to the most obvious reason why the forces of evil won this day: Doomsday’s practically unbeatable by brute force alone. This was established earlier in the pre-battle analysis so in a way, Doomsday was the victor before the fight even started. So the end result was kind of obvious in hindsight, but the battle is still a lot of fun to watch.
