Henry Cavill Talks About Why Superman Won’t Just Fight Anyone

    By Frank PalmerJune 16, 2015

Henry Cavill was on hand at the London Collections: Men fashion show and spoke to WWD from Superman’s perspective and why he won’t fight just anyone:

“Superman wouldn’t get into a cage fight with just anyone,” he said. “Imagine, you wouldn’t get into a fight with someone if they hit you and you didn’t feel it, barely registered it. Superman wouldn’t even notice; he’s not quick to engage.”

It’s a pretty obvious answer to a pretty obvious question. Superman would simply kill anyone that fought him. Aside from some pretty powerful villain, of course, Superman could pretty much get the best of anyone. It’s good that the character is a good guy, or else we wouldn’t have a universe. It’s also important to note that it’s good that the character doesn’t actually exist in real life.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s synopsis: It’s been nearly two years since Superman’s (Henry Cavill) colossal battle with Zod (Michael Shannon) devastated the city of Metropolis. The loss of life and collateral damage left many feeling angry and helpless, including crime-fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck). Convinced that Superman is now a threat to humanity, Batman embarks on a personal vendetta to end his reign on Earth, while the conniving Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) launches his own crusade against the Man of Steel.

Batman v Superman hits theaters March 25th, 2016.
