Marvel fans still have a few more years to wait until Avengers: Infinity Wars hits theaters, but that hasn’t stopped any information from getting out regarding the new film.
According to Schmoes Know, Guardians of the Galaxy’s Star-Lord will be one of the big heroes of the film. In fact, Star-Lord is supposed to be the first team member to make an appearance.
This was to be expected, however, as Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord has been wonderfully received by fans. And he won’t be the only new Avenger, it seems.
Actor Vin Diesel confirmed that the rest of the Guardians would be featured, and Benedict Cumberbatch even revealed in an interview with Empire that Doctor Strange will be in the new film.
According to one of the upcoming film’s directors:
The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that’s happened before in the MCU so you don’t want to get into spoilers but I’m a big fan of what James Gunn has done,” Anthony Russo explained. “[Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you’d be very excited.”
The Avengers: Infinity Wars films will be released 2018 and 2019, respectively.
