John Carpenter has had a long and illustrious film career that has spanned many decades amongst different genres however he’s also received recognition for his unique synth scores that have defined his films. Whether it be Halloween or The Thing, his film scores have become an iconic staple in horror history which many have since tried to replicate with little success.
On February 3rd 2015, he made his debut album ‘Lost Themes’ which was met with critical success by fans and critics alike. Then on April 15th 2016, we were treated to his second album ‘Lost Themes 2’ which was once again praised by the music community with ‘Utopian Façade’ being one of my personal favorites. Well now it’s received an official music video which is produced and directed by Gavin Hignight and Ben Verhulst.
Set in a virtual reality, we get to see a strange looking heroine on the run from even stranger looking monsters with murderous intent. Unfortunately the video looks as if it was made by a bunch of college students however if you lie back and shut your eyes you’ll be able to conjure up a video more suited to your imagination.
