I think we can all agree that a Dredd series on Netflix would be drokking awesome. Perhaps even better than a film sequel, since there would be more room to flesh out decades’ worth of story arcs from 2000 AD.
We’re all doing our best to keep that dream alive. Our fearless leader, Frank, started a sequel campaign that went on to be officially endorsed by 2000 AD. Thousands upon thousands of us have signed the petition. Karl Urban himself frequently talks at conventions about how much he’d love to return to Mega-City One and dispense some more justice. And some very dedicated fans even made their own fan-film series, Judge Dredd: The Cursed Edge, which was then pieced together into a feature length clip worthy of its name.
And now, those same filmmakers have used footage from the 2012 film to piece together an impressive opening credits sequence for the series we all want so badly to see come to life. Watch it. Share it. And use the hashtag #DreddOnNetflix to keep it trending and visible. Dredd wouldn’t give up on The Law, so we can’t give up on him. It’s our duty as law-abiding citizens.
If you haven’t already, be sure to sign the petition to Bring Back Dredd here.
