It sounds as though Green Lantern Corps may have found it’s director, and as a stroke of luck he happen to have plenty of experience with outer space action.
A user on 4chan has recently posted a collection of rumors in regards to who is in line to direct several of the upcoming DC Comics adaptions. One of these rumors is that Gravity director Alfonso Cuarón is in line to direct the upcoming Green Lantern Corps movie.
Cuarón has a good relationship with Warner Bros., having directed Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Gravity, for which he received the Academy Award for Best Director. Taking into the directors experience on Gravity, it would make him a great choice for film given the intergalactic nature of the characters.
Not much is known about the film about this point, with the exception that it will feature more of the Earth based Green Lanterns including Hal Jordan and John Stewart. The film is currently set for a July 24th, 2020 release.
What do you think? Is Cuarón a good choice for the film? What would you like to see? Let us know below!
