In a disappointing bit of news, it’s been revealed that Netflix is choosing not to move forward with one of their platform’s fan-favorite series. In fact, it’s been confirmed that the hit show will be canceled with the release of its second season.
As such, fans can no longer expect a third season of the series to be released. As shared in a new report, it looks like the reason for the drama show’s cancellation is unconfirmed, but likely the usual factors that Netflix considers when canceling or renewing a show.
The platform takes a variety of factors very seriously, including budgets, ratings, and whether or not the series is simply worth continuing. While many viewers would like all of their shows to have some kind of conclusion, that isn’t always the case with Netflix, or any other streaming service or network in general.
Now according to THR, the Netflix series The Recruit has been canceled with only two seasons. Actor Colton Dunn acknowledged the cancellation on Threads and shared the following statement:
“The Recruit has been cancelled yall. Such a bummer,” he wrote. “I’ll share some pics and fun memories on IG but just wanted you to hear it from me. Thanks if you watched. I’m AVAILABLE NOW! Hire me for you tv story!!”
The Netflix drama series is also a spy adventure story with Noah Centineo as a CIA lawyer named Owen Hendricks. He gets involved with a number of convoluted plots that put him at the forefront of various dangerous individuals and organizations.
