The premiere of the MCU Disney Plus series Daredevil: Born Again occurred with a bang when a major character was killed off. It was a move that stunned fans and one that Daredevil star Charlie Cox believes was necessary as much as it shocked him as well. Now, however, a newly-spotted Easter egg could mean that the major Daredevil: Born Again death was fake all along.
Spoilers ahead, but Daredevil: Born Again includes a major death that Charlie Cox‘s Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, attempts to immediately seek vengeance for. The death occurred in the form of Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson, a fan-favorite character that was apparently killed off as part of the show’s first episode.
As you can see below, however, some viewers have been attentive enough to spot a potential Easter egg. One that, if you’re familiar enough with Daredevil lore, could mean that Foggy Nelson actually survived. Here’s what viewers are talking about:
The address for Nelson, Murdock and Page’s law firm office in #DaredevilBornAgain is 468.

Essentially, an address spotted outside their law firm offices is “468.” In Daredevil #468, the comic book issue centers on Foggy Nelson who is revealed to have faked their death before entering witness protection. This could be the case in Daredevil: Born Again. While Matt did listen to Foggy’s heartbeat stop during the sequence, it could be revealed that Foggy used a heart suppressant.
For Marvel fans, heart suppressants aren’t an entirely new technology. In fact, Nick Fury used one to fake his death in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It was even created by Bruce Banner. While it might not be the exact way Foggy could have allegedly faked his death, it’s certainly a possibility.
Of course, there are other ways Foggy could be brought back in a franchise ruled by magic and alternate universes. The actor is even slated to return for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. While it’s likely that this could be an opportunity for Elden Henson to reprise his role for flashback sequences, a return from a secret death could also be on the table.
As always, we’ll have to see what happens once Daredevil: Born Again returns for a second season and uncover whether or not the death was fake. Fans can currently watch the first season as it drops via Disney Plus. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional Daredevil: Born Again updates as we have them in addition to more MCU news.
