It’s been a long fourteen years since the last Final Destination film hit theaters. Now, approaching nearly two decades, it’s been officially announced that Final Destination: Bloodlines will arrive in 2025.
The long-awaited sixth installment in the Final Destination saga will be hitting theaters as soon as May 16, 2025. What’s exciting about this project, however, is that it will retain continuity with its predecessors. It will very much be a sequel, and with that said, a new cast of characters are expected to get their comeuppance after thinking they could cheat death.
The cast of Final Destination: Bloodlines includes Teo Briones, Brec Bassinger, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, Owen Patrick Joyner, Max Lloyd-Jones, Rya Kihlstedt, and Tinpo Lee. In addition to these newcomers, however, it looks like fans can also expect a familiar face to make a rather bittersweet appearance.
It was previously suggested that Tony Todd, who made several appearances throughout the original Final Destination films, would be returning for this sixth installment. Sadly, Tony Todd recently passed away, but franchise creator Jeffrey Reddick added with the release date announcement that the film is “a wonderful tribute” to the late actor.
The wait is over! Final Destination: Bloodlines is being released May 16th! 🥳 In IMAX! It’s a great movie and a wonderful tribute to the beloved @TonyTodd54. 🙏🏼#FinalDestination6 #summer #horror – @Variety – https://t.co/5TM1OMOwoQ

It would obviously be great to know more, but it’s likely such details are being kept under wraps until closer to the release date, if not the very release of the movie. Fortunately, with a May release date, it shouldn’t be that long of a wait.
Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein directed the sixth installment from a screenplay written by Lori Evans Taylor and Guy Busick. Jon Watts is attached as a producer on the film alongside Dianne McGunigle and returning franchise producers Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for more updates on Final Destination: Bloodlines as we have them. For now, fans can expect to see the films in theaters – including IMAX – on Ma 16, 2025.
