The series, which actually happens to be a political thriller, just returned for a second season this year. Excitingly as well, the series has already been renewed for a third season, which means that fans can expect more content in the future.
As shared below, one viewer of the series claimed that while the first season “was really good,” they feel as though the second season “is jaw-droppingly fantastic.” Stephen King shared these sentiments by adding the following response in reference to the Netflix thriller:

Viewers of the series, titled The Diplomat, have agreed with both Stephen King and the original user’s post, emphasizing the quality of both the show’s writing and direction. This seems to be the common consensus with viewers of the season, and so it’s no surprise to see the performance of its second season so high and that Netflix has already renewed it for a third chapter.
The first season of the series was released on April 20, 2023, while its second season followed just a little over a year later on October 31, 2024. It was renewed for a third season the same month. The storyline revolves around Kate Wyler, played by Keri Russell, who becomes the new United States ambassador to the United Kingdom. The series follows her struggles both professionally and personally as she takes on this new position.
