Emma Stone has starred in a variety of beloved movies over the years. However, they haven’t all been winners, and some Netflix subscribers have officially rediscovered the worst Emma Stone movie.
This particular title was released in the middle of her career, not long before some big hits that include the recently-released Poor Things. Specifically, the film was released in 2015 and it was directed by none other than Cameron Crowe. Now, nearly a decade later, this very film is available to stream on Netflix.
As mentioned, however, this title is also considered the worst Emma Stone movie. If one were to check Rotten Tomatoes, they would see the critical score for the film is only 20% while the audience score is only slightly higher at 29%. In addition to its poor reception, the film did poorly at the box office with a mere $26.3 million worldwide gross on a budget between $37 million and $52 million.
Viewers of the film, titled Aloha, have shared some of the following responses to the Emma Stone movie now streaming on Netflix:
You’ll probably never catch me saying something like this again but…
Tonight I watched “Aloha” with Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone, alone, and it made me laugh in unexpected ways. That is all.
Please forget I said this. It’s embarrassing.

Even with a schizophrenic script and a shocking lack of focus or real stakes, Emma Stone makes Aloha watchable. She might be the Bette Davis of her generation.

It’s definitely interesting to see how these viewers feel about the film. Especially nearly a decade after its initial release in which the film essentially failed both with critics and at the box office.
While modern viewers still aren’t taking too kindly to the film, it seems as though the involvement of Emma Stone is enough to keep drawing in audiences. In fact, perhaps with time Aloha could be something of a cult classic. Or, at the very least, it could be reevaluated as a worthwhile watch even if it didn’t succeed during its original release.
