The Terrifier film franchise is set to receive its third installment with Terrifier 3. The all-new horror movie will take the franchise’s killer clown, Art the Clown, to a new level. The character, once again played by David Howard Thornton, will be moving from Halloween to the Christmas season as shared in the all-new Terrifier 3 trailer.
An original teaser revealing the film’s Christmas setting was previously released, however this is our first time getting to see footage from the actual movie. In addition to Thornton, the film will also see the return of Laura LaVera as Sienna, along with Victora Heyes as Samantha Scaffidi.
The trailer is no doubt bound to get fans just as excited as the previous teaser did. Of course, now with actual footage from the movie, it gives us a better glimpse at Art’s transition from the Halloween holiday and to that of Christmas.
Here’s the first official teaser trailer for Terrifier 3:
Damien Leone returned to both write and direct this third installment of his gory horror series. Other cast members for the project also include Elliot Fullam, Chris Jericho, and Daniel Roebuck as Santa Claus. Fans can also expect to see Tom Savini, Jason Patric, Antonella Rose, Krsy Fox, Clint Howard, and Jon Abrahams.
The films have used a tremendous amount of gore, special effects, and unrelenting dark humor to tell their story thus far. As such, fans with a taste for such material have been excited to know this third film was inevitable. Especially with Art the Clown having become such a modern-day horror icon.
The new sequel is set to hit theaters on October 11, 2024. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the Terrifier film franchise and its signature antagonist Art the Clown as we have them.
It’s certainly fascinating to see how this particular killer clown has gone from short films, to anthology segments, to his very own movie franchise. Especially now that we’ll have the jump from Halloween to Christmas.
