The fan-favorite Netflix series Stranger Things has been a pop culture juggernaut since its first season was released in 2016. The critically-acclaimed series has delivered a number of exciting seasons in the years since, with the upcoming fifth season set to be its last. Now fans have received their first look at Stranger Things Season 5.
The official first look was revealed in a new “Behind The Scenes” featurette from Netflix. The featurette reveals that the latest season has just reached the midway point in its production. This means fans are even closer to the release of the long-awaited conclusion.

The fifth season of the Netflix series will contain both returning cast members and all-new faces. For starters, fans will get to see the return of franchise stars that include David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, and Maya Hawke. As for the season’s newcomers, those cast members include Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, and Terminator star Linda Hamilton.
Many plot details for the upcoming season of Stranger Things are currently being kept under wraps. However, given the ending of the show’s fourth season, it’s safe to assume that our beloved cast of characters will once again have to face the Upside Down and the threat of Vecna. Otherwise, we’ll have to wait and see what happens as more promotional materials are released.
It seems as though Stranger Things 5 will most likely be released late next year in 2025.
