    John Carpenter And Robert Englund To Receive Stars On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

    It's been revealed that entertainment legends John Carpenter and Robert Englund will receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

    Now that the Hollywood Walk of Fame 2025 class has been announced, many horror fans are excited to see that two genre legends are receiving stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. John Carpenter, director of such hits as Halloween, The Thing, and Big Trouble in Little China will be receiving a star along with “Freddy Krueger” himself – Robert Englund!

    Many classic actors and filmmakers have been included on the Hollywood Walk of Fame over the years. Of course, given the contributions of both Carpenter and Englund, it can be a head-scratcher to realize they haven’t already received stars. In fact, many fans would argue that this has been overdue for a long time.

    As for Englund and Carpenter, they’ve both celebrated and thanked fans on social media for their support. Englund wrote the following wholesome tweet:

    “Woke up this morning (cue Sopranos theme) (just joking) to discover I’m in great company in the Hollywood Walk of Fame class of 2025. Just to hear my name mentioned alongside Jane Fonda and Prince makes my old heart go pit-a-pat! ⁦@WalkofFameStar #walkoffame”

    Carpenter’s sentiments were much shorter but just as grateful:

    “Thank you all for the kind words.”

    As shared by Variety, an entirety of 30 new stars are being added to the Walk of Fame as part of its 2025 class. Here’s a complete list:

    MOTION PICTURES: John Carpenter, Jessica Chastain, Bill Duke, Robert Englund, Emilio Estevez, Colin Farrell, Jane Fonda, Nia Long, Lisa Lu, Glynn Turman and Toni Vaz

    TELEVISION: Fran Drescher, Lauren Graham, Bill Nye, Molly Shannon, Sherri Shepherd, Courtney B. Vance, Chris Wallace, Trey Parker and Matt Stone (double ceremony)

    RECORDING: Fantasia, Depeche Mode, Los Bukis, The B-52s, Green Day, The Isley Brothers, Busta Rhymes, George Strait, Keith Urban, WAR  and Prince (Posthumous)

    LIVE THEATRE/LIVE PERFORMANCE: Misty Copeland and Alan Cumming

    RADIO: Adam Carolla

    Sports Entertainment: David Beckham and Orel Hershiser
