Stephen King is once again sharing his reaction to a new Netflix series on social media. This time, however, King is nearly made speechless by the disturbing new show.
The series, which is said to be inspired by true events, has been taking the internet by storm. Now Stephen King himself is adding to the fire by taking to X to share his thoughts. For those looking forward to a lengthy review, however, they may be surprised that King’s reaction can be summed up with a mere two words.
As a writer, one might suspect that King would illustrate his opinions in a much wordier fashion. He also knows how to get the point across, though, and it seems as though his two-word response is enough to earn more than 38,000 likes on the platform.
As you can see below, King wrote the following in response to the new Netflix series:
“BABY REINDEER: Holy shit.”
BABY REINDEER: Holy shit.

It’s certainly an appropriate response to the series – especially by how many other viewers have been shocked, disturbed, or otherwise surprised by the seven-episode miniseries. For those unfamiliar, the plot of Baby Reindeer is based on the alleged real-life experiences of comedian Richard Gadd. He plays a fictionalized version of himself as he tells a version of events where he was allegedly stalked and abused.
In addition to Gadd, the cast of the series includes Jessica Gunning as his stalker, Martha, in addition to appearances from Nava Mau, Tom Goodman-Hill, Nina Sosanya, Michael Wildman, and Shalom Brune-Franklin.

For now, Baby Reindeer is available to stream on Netflix. And, given its success on the platform, this is likely not the last we’ll hear of the miniseries.
