So, every time a new Spider-Man movie is announced, hope is held for Venom and Carnage. After Spider-Man 3, that hope is for redemption. There were rumors with Amazing Spider-Man 2 that Jim Carrey was going to play Carnage. There was also talk that, before Sony’s plans for the an Amazing-verse was shut down, there was to be a movie called Venom/Carnage. Still, it seems Sony is wanting to do a Venom film, yet separate from the new Spidey in the MCU.
Like I said, with each new Spider-Man movie, rumors fly with each new casting. Not only for the sinister symbiotes, but other characters such as Miles Morales.
So, with this new Spider-Man movie that happens to be in the MCU, of course there was bound to be a Carnage rumor somewhere. This is attached to the casting of a fella named Mando Michael from Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul. Following the news, the Better Call Saul Twitter account had some cryptic words to say about their guy.

Cryptic, or just fans jumping the gun?
If you ask me, I think a first installment is a little early to be introducing Carnage; especially with no word on Venom yet. But really, it’s a little for a Venom. That is, unless either their hosts, Cletus Kassidy or Eddie Brock were just cameo roles, set up for a future installment.
Now, I’m still on the early episodes of Breaking Bad via Netflix. Therefore, I haven’t made my way to see what this actor is capable of. But to play Kassidy, one has to harness some demons. And if the folks at Better Call Saul presumably think he has such demons to play the maniac, then bring it on!
