The Terrifier film franchise, centered around the murderous Art the Clown, has already delivered some of the most gruesome horror set-pieces in recent memory. Of course, with only two full movies to its name, fans are expecting Terrifier 3 to up the ante – and the director has confirmed as much. He’s just teased that “one of the most insanely horrific scenes” from the franchise was shot for Terrifier 3.
As mentioned, the original two films are already quite gruesome. With a Christmas-themed twist and limitless potential for the third installment, however, fans are eager to see what director Damien Leone and Art the Clown star David Howard Thornton have planned.
As shared on X, Leone has given an all-new update on the status of the threequel. In addition to the horror, he adds a bit of humor, noting that fan’s wouldn’t “believe who couldn’t handle it on set.” As he puts it, “the bts is hilarious.”
Here’s what he stated:
“Can honestly say we just filmed one of the most insanely horrific scenes of the Terrifier franchise and you’ll never believe who couldn’t handle it on set 😬😂 🤮 the bts is hilarious. Can’t wait for you all to see! #terrifier3 #areyouready #comingsoon”

For those curious, Leone also responded to one fan that asked if we’ll be getting “to see the BTS.” Fortunately, Leone does confirm that we’ll be seeing the behind-the-scenes footage from the production of the film.

Fans are definitely going to be excited to see these horrific new scenes from Terrifier 3. Especially if they’re as insane as Leone suggests. Hopefully we’ll have more details in the near future. As for now, however, knowing that Art the Clown will be stalking his latest prey around Christmas makes the film all that more exciting.
In addition to David Howard Thornton’s return as Art the Clown, fans can also expect a return from Lauren LaVera as Sienna Shaw, Elliot Fullam as Jonathan Shaw, and Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria Heyes from the original Terrifier.
