Celebrity Sydney Sweeney is continuing to build her career following roles in Euphoria and Madame Web. Now, however, it looks like some right-wing commentators are claiming that Sydney Sweeney has “ended wokeness” as a result of her recent appearance.
Sweeney, who just hosted Saturday Night Live last weekend, chose an outfit that some would say was rather revealing. As you can see in the tweet shared below by right-wing commentator Richard Hanania, she wore a dress that revealed her cleavage. In his response Hanania wrote the following caption:
“Wokeness is dead,” Hanania writes in response to the outfit that Sydney Sweeney chose to wear for the event.

The caption appears to be a response to the way Sweeney is dressed, suggesting that her outfit is anti-woke. However, some liberal users pointed out that they stand for “women owning their own sexuality.” As such, it can be a confusing statement, and one that is currently being argued by both conservatives and liberals on the social media platform.
Here are additional tweets made in response to the statement from both other right-wing users and liberal users:
Those give me hope.

Mfers have been shadow boxing with a concept they can’t even define.
I can’t even remotely tell what this tweet actually means https://t.co/bBGtIPcR56

“The woke liberal agenda is dead” and it’s just Sydney Sweeney with cleavage. They just can’t be normal about women can they. https://t.co/u5BeZo4Ryw

Conservatives keep trying to change the game here, ok? Libs never said women can’t show cleavage. We are the people who are supportive of women owning their own sexuality! Ok? We invented that. pic.twitter.com/gtzSwMmkKq

It’s definitely interesting to see what the users that either agree or disagree with Hanania. One user even shared a previous statement from Hanania where he seemed to complain about women that dress “to attract men.”
“oh i get it,” the user replied, “you’re one of those men that hates women you’re not attracted to and then all that hate flies out the window when you *are* attracted to the woman.”
