In addition to Stephen King‘s own iconic horror works, he’s also well-known for recommending other artists’ works for fans to enjoy. Now Stephen King is urging fans to watch an all-new horror movie that he considers to be “brilliant.”
Previous films that King has famously praised include the original Evil Dead, so it’s quite exciting to see a modern release receive such similar praise. In fact, King insists he couldn’t take his “eyes off it.” It’s certainly high praise and with the film being released in just a few months, fans are sure to be hyped up to see it.
The film is something of a twist on the found footage genre. It revolves around a Halloween special hosted on a late-night talk show for October 31, 1977. Of course, things get very dark very fast.
Here’s the full reaction to the upcoming horror film as shared by Stephen King:
“LATE NIGHT WITH THE DEVIL: I got a screener. It’s absolutely brilliant. I couldn’t take my eyes off it. Your results may vary, as they say, but I urge you to watch it when you can.”
