The Marvel Cinematic Universe is moving forward with a return from Charlie Cox as Daredevil in 2024. That’s right, Charlie Cox will be making his grand return as the fan-favorite character in yet another MCU appearance ahead of Daredevil: Born Again.
Now fans can see the first look at Charlie Cox’s return below. Of course, given that there will be a wait for Daredevil: Born Again, this particular appearance is from the Disney Plus series Echo. The titular character first appeared in Hawkeye which gradually introduced several elements from Netflix’s Daredevil series, namely the inclusion of Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, and now Echo will bring these aspects closer together.
Interestingly, the first look reveals that the character will be looking quite different from his most recent appearance. Charlie Cox previously appeared as the character in the Disney Plus series She-Hulk. The more comedic role received mixed reception from fans, however, and he wore a yellow suit rather than the red outfit associated with his original appearances. Now it looks like Echo could be bringing a return to the red look.

Of course, it is difficult to determine what colors Daredevil’s new suit is, and what details are therein. But it does look quite different from his She-Hulk appearance, which should be another example for how Echo will have a much darker tone than other MCU projects. In fact, the series is set to be the first TV-MA rated production for Marvel Studios, so it’ll be interesting to see what this means for Echo, Kingpin, and Daredevil going forward.
In the meantime, this has been an exciting glimpse at what’s to come. Especially after fans have waited so long for a proper return from Charlie Cox’s Daredevil. Something that isn’t just a brief cameo or comedic support.
