Author Stephen King is no stranger to expressing his own thoughts on X, formerly known as Twitter. The social media platform was renamed as such after Elon Musk acquired it. Now it just so happens that Stephen King is putting Elon Musk on blast.
As you can see below, Musk made a statement that left the IT author feeling rather upset. It’s worth noting that this is far from their first clash on the platform. This time, however, it’s because Musk made the statement that people are finally waking up from being “woke.”
“The great wakening from woke has happened,” Musk writes. “This is good for civilization.”
Stephen King rejected Musk’s claim with a simple word, however, writing the following on X which has currently amassed more than 44,000 likes:
“Bullshit.”
Bullshit.

Of course, Stephen King wasn’t the only one to give a negative response to Elon Musk. Other users shared some of the following tweets to express their confusion or frustration with Musk’s comment:
I’m confused.
If you’ve wakened from woke are you like, super woke? Woke squared? Woke to the power of woke? Or have you gone back to sleep? https://t.co/5Yg4sMMUOa

Additionally, there were users that were grateful for King to speak his mind, and they expressed their love for him as a result:
As time goes on, I love Stephen King more and more. https://t.co/Qk01gsJQ0K

These debates have certainly become more commonplace in recent years, especially as social media platforms become divided or new media sparks upset fans from one side or the other. As such, it’s become quite interesting to see popular celebrities express their own thoughts on different matters.
Whether they articulate these feelings with detailed responses or putting others on blast with short phrases, it’s certainly not going to stop any time soon. Especially considering that Elon Musk himself is now the owner of what was formerly Twitter.
We will have to wait and see if there are any updates on this situation. Feel free to check back for further details as they become available.
