The Netflix series Stranger Things has already notoriously had large amounts of time between seasons. Unfortunately, this means an even longer wait as a result of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Nevertheless, there has still been some progress, as indicated by the first look at the production for Stranger Things Season 5.
As mentioned, one of the reasons the season has been moving along slowly has been the ongoing strikes. Nevertheless, it appears that sets are still being built for the series, and now professional drone pilot and videographer @itsjaredfilm has given fans their first look at these sets.
It’s currently unknown what exactly these sets are being used for. They could be locations we’ve already seen, something new, and of course even areas that will make up the Upside Down. But it’s exciting to know that not all progress has stopped for the show and that Season 5 will still happen, even if it takes just a little bit longer.

He also shared additional drone footage and a comparison between the “backlot Hawkins” and the “on location Hawkins” which does seem to tease at least some of the spots we’ll be seeing.

The photos and footage are certainly quite spectacular. Of course, it’ll be even better to see these areas as they’ll appear in the show. After all, the fifth season is expected to be the last season of the series aside from certain spin-offs. It will certainly be one to remember if the scope of previous seasons are any indication.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the production of Stranger Things Season 5 or its various upcoming spin-offs as we have them. As for now, fan can currently binge the first four seasons of the fan-favorite series on Netflix.
