Britney Spears has faced her fair share of controversy over the years. Now the 41-year-old celebrity is making headlines after worrying fans with a brand-new Instagram video. As you can see below, Britney Spears took the opportunity to dance with what appear to be some rather sharp-looking kitchen knives.
Spears holds a knife in each hand as she performs to an unknown song. Her outfit included a crop top and white bottoms. Though she insists the knives aren’t real in the caption, fans aren’t so sure, as they express their doubts on social media.
“I started playing in the kitchen with knives today,” Spear begins in the video’s caption. “Don’t worry they are NOT real knives.” She adds that “Halloween is soon.”

As viewers can see, Britney Spears dances with the knives with her dogs right around the corner. Fortunately, nothing happens to her canine companions, as they scurry out of the way as she clangs the knives around. But fans are still anxious seeing such small creatures curiously approach Spears as she twirls and dances to the song. Especially, again, with sharp knives in her hands.
The footage prompted some of the following comments from worried fans via X, formerly known as Twitter:
I know she said they are fake but those things be CLANGING 😅

As of this writing, however, the original clip has more over half a million likes. So there still are plenty of fans that appreciate the viral video. Here’s hoping that the knives were indeed fake.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any updates on Britney Spears as we have them. For now, let’s hope that she keeps her knife-playing to a minimum. After all, they can be dangerous enough without dancing or having small dogs in the same vicinity while you’re twisting and twirling about.
